Glass Letter Effect

Didn’t have much to do at work today. So as any regular free time I have, I opened up photoshop and started doodling around. I got bored in a while, then went online to see whats new and whats not.

After a while, I came by someones tutorial to acquire glass like effects in photoshop. I thought I will try it out, and this is what came out of it. Maybe I can use this style in one my future print designs or something. I dont know.. what do you think?

Sandy Islands Travels & Tours Brochure 09

Finally I am done with this work. This is the neiw design for the Sandy Maldives brochure for their 2009 marketing campaign. I was barely given two weeks to work on it. But luckily, with full days of work… locking myself in my seat at the computer, I have managed to come up with this.

I tried to get some high quality pictures of the actual printed documents. Its sleek and beautiful when printed. Maybe, when I come by a good camera, I shall update this post with some pics.

This question has always hazed me, How wrathful could one be?. We human beings are of course judged to be the most intelligent, sane creatures on earth. But doesn’t it go the other way around as well. Rest assured, it does. But the question is, to what extent? is there a quantifying method as to how vengeful a character could one posses?. Demeaning as it appears, as troublesome this question succumbs to be.

Now the question comes as to why one would seek vengeance on another. Basically its understood to return the favor in a very bad yet painful way. Even more, it is believed that what is returned is far more painful as a mean to justify the final act a punishment over the first. Thus, this reveals that truly levels of vengeance varies over aggression.

In early times, in the book of Exodus, the rule of “Eye for an Eye” was later established to justify equity between the level of this vengeful opposer who intend to harm each other. Now why would that be?.. yes, it was stop a continuing reaction of revenge on revenge, almost leading to a blood bath of a whole town.

So how would one judge vengeance to be? could it be justified as the a better solution for an issue? or a morally or ethically unbound manner of return? Its all up to you…

But, for the least, we all know what it can do, what it can make of sane people, it goes to the extent where sanity looses its whole meaning, where the word “insane” even doesn’t fit well enough. Thus, Confucius said it wise … dig two graves before you head for your vengeance!, cos in the end,, you too loose your sanity, humanity, or whatever that makes you human.

I really got to do something about me saying sorry all the time I write a new post. Anyways, lets get to the point shall we?

Apart from the routing ravings of mine, my life has surely taken an immense turning point. But quite not sure where this would lead to. But only this time, I’d rather have control as to where it would take me. You all would be wondering as to what on earth I am yapping about. But be assured my dear friends, this no more another raving, nor another repetitive chanting of meaningless reason.

For years and years, in my past life… I have tried to make myself take the best peak in my living. Yet in every single page I turn, page full of thoughts, dreams and humongous plans… I was yet to find a way to get it all done. I do know what I would want to do, I plan them out so well in my book of dreams - or so to speak of. But always, in the end… I am left with no means to continue, confused over and over again.. just to find myself in the same spot from where I started.

This time, its all going to be different. I am proud to know that I have the knowledge to surpass my plans and accomplish my dreams. My plan to be known, respected and praised. And all I know need is patience… patience to mend the knowledge and apply them. This time, I am sure to take step ahead in life.. my own way.

Woh!!! finally… I have let it out. To tell you the truth guys!! thats what ma mind keep telling me all the way!!!

One still finds one’s self with sweaty hands, and shivvering bones when the white papers printed in black lay right on the desk before them? I just wonder why??? Can this sensation ever be avoided? Or is it hard coded to the human nature? Cos if it is… then why bother going through all the hassle in the first place? hmmm? tell me one good reason WHY??

Once again, I have to thank Matt and George who helped us through our stay (me and a work colleague of mine) even when they were i n the busiest time of their own work. So George!! Matt!!!.. thankx a bunch!! (I know.. you guys must have had enough of my thanking.. kekek.. yeah.. F*** Off!!! )

Hmm, things havent changed at all down here in Male’.. hehe.. whats to change within just 5 days eh? kekek.. guess that would be expecting too much. But I have noticed that, coming down here… I have got back again into the same routine, same confused and messed up moments during the day, where I have got lots of work to do.. and not sure where to start from and where to go to once I do start. Plus the usual nag of beung unable to do something that has to be done due to the few obstacles that come up against stuff.. and bla bla bla… yeah… guess I am boring you all.. Sorry for that.

Next issue is, My exam is starting today… since its 2:10am now.. guess it would be today eh? Sunday for those of you who dont have a clue.. keke. Speaking of exams, I havent even laid my hands on a single note since the begenning of this semester. I have been too busy trying to get something for a living. Afterall, I do pay for my studies out from my own pocket. So this time I dont mind having to do the whole semester over again, cos that way… I would be only gaining another 6 months to my whole study period, not such a bad catch after all.

Anyways, its late!!! damn too late now… Need to go bed and have a good nights sleep. Havent had much sleep since the first week I have left to London and came back. So good night.. & Adios!

Anyways, here is the story, I had to make this Interactive CD using Flash, which is very hard to get your way around with. Anyways, I knew I would be able to make up something if I spend enough time playing with the damned thing. But! time was the luxury I didnt have… or more like I do not have. I am supposed to be leaving on the 9th for a Travel Fair in London, and need to take this CD with me along with a lot of other promotional items which I am supposed to be doing by my self.

Anyhow, I was so down on morale when I had spent more than four days fighting my way through flash and not being able to come up with anything realistically close enough for something to take with me to the fair. Which is the, one night, I met my friend, Coition as most of you would recall him (note; his blog has been deleted). Anyways, he called up on a few friends of his whome I know through their blogs only. They are KatteyLife, Xef and Irey (I think thats his name), anyways sorry guys if have mentioned your names wrong.

Either way, back to the point.. these guys came for my aid.. stood up with me at my office one day and a night through till they gave me a splendid peice of work of art. (thank you guys… you have literally saved my ass from being burnt)

So thats there… so here is the point I am trying to make here people.. a friend in need is a friend indeed… so is the vice versa… still friends whome you can rely on either way.. kekek.. right?

Anyways… I got to go packing… lots of work to do still.. chao!

(yeah, I know… its been a long time coming for a poem…)

“why bother to waste?”, you guys would be wondering, “what the heck am I trying to get at…”, but I would like to keep my introductions as mysterious as possible, hehe. Anyways, this post is not at all written to be sexist (if thats a word!), or feminist, or whatever “ist” thats out there that would judge that I am not trying to weigh myself to either side.

So shall we get to the point? … This sudden urge to blog about this issue came from an incident that I came along with one of my friends, so I guess telling you the whole story in simple words would count as much as good as me blabbering on this and that and try to make a point out of a page full of text, wouldnt it?

There was this friend of mine, lets call him Mike, who loved his girlfriend..ummm, Tina a lot. I used to know Mike like ages ago, we used to be buddies since we were in the primaries (aaah.. the good old days where we only have to worry about is, cartoon time and dictation tests!!). Me and Mike came along our life till now, and a couple of years back he met this girl, who is now his so called to be girlfriend, Tina. You should have heard the rabblings Mike went on saying about how good she looked and the “aww this’s” and the “aaaw that’s” about her. Indeed my pathetic friend was pushed hard in a pathetic pit of love, (hey!.. no hard feelings Mike)

Thus Mike and Tina grew to be closer in time and finally, they were “almost” engaged. Ofcourse, like any other good guy, Mike went on spending his pockets out on her on what ever she even comes to think of (that sure is one hell of a desperate guy,… that Mike!). But in the end, this other friend of mine, say…. ummm Casper.. met Tina.. and guess what? she flew right out of Mikes life and started sucking on Casper’s Money Bag. I didnt try to warn Casper of it, as I knew all this about her through and through… it was simply not my place to tell, besides I didnt quite know Casper as well as Mike (and I advised Mike to leave that “b***h on and on, but the poor prick was too … whats the word… hmmm .. deluded)

In the end, now I meet Mike almost every day after his tragic fall off from his high cliff of hopes. Tyring to make him feel better and .. yada yada yada…. and guess what! nothing helped until something I said mistakenly last night. The guy was broke, and I mean really broke, no money.. no job.. no will…

So I told him, “Dude… you loose money chasing girls, but you dont loose girls chasing money… and thats a sure fact!!”.. I guess that is a fact after all. But did I say it right? I am not so sure.. but sure, saying that has helped Mike gain a bit of will to make a new life for himself. Guess thats good enough for me to believe thats it is true.

Apodyopsis - the act of mentally undressing someone … now this one is worth using from time to time eh?

… I never knew… people actually came up with words for this stuff? .. I honestly wonder whats next. Have any of you lived the true reality of these words? hehe.. sure you would have… who woudln’t?

I guess that would be enoug laughs for now, that is if you guys find it funny. But this sure is hell of a lot fun for me, knowing this…
